DAY 01: ARRIVE LEH
Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel for check in where you will be welcomed by tea/coffee. You have until evening to acclimatize to the weather and enjoy the stunning views before we head to visit Shanti Stupa, a magnificent white-domed Buddhist monument located atop a steep hilltop. The Stupa gives you panoramic view of the surrounding snow capped mountains. Later visit the Leh Market which is a perfect representation of the culture of Leh- vibrant and colourful. The market comprises many stalls, stores and shops that are set up in quaint disarray, where you can navigate your way between the merchants and sellers to discover items worthy of purchase. DAY 02: EXCURSION TO SHAM VALLEY
After breakfast, drive downstream along the river Indus on Leh – Kargil highway to The Hall of Fame - A Museum constructed by the Indian army encapsulating the essence of patriotism. It displays exhibits relating the bravery of Indian soldiers during Indo-Pak wars. Proceed further to visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib nestled deep in the Himalayas. A drive of another 4 km will take you to the magnetic hill which defies the law of gravity. Continue to drive further through the picturesque landscape to reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. While returning back to Leh visit Spituk Monastery, built in the 11th century it was constructed to help develop an exemplary religious community in Ladakh. DAY 03: LEH - NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA
Check out after a lovely breakfast as we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra valley passes over Khardung La - The highest motorable road in the world at 5,602 mtrs / 18,390 ft. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to the seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser Massif. Nubra valley is popularly known as ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley check in at the hotel. DAY 04: EXCURSION TO TURTUK
After breakfast we proceed for a trip to Turtuk. Turtuk is about as close as you can get to Pakistan in India, physically and literally. This delightful village is crunched into the narrowing Shyok river valley in the furthest corner of India, right at the tippy-top of the map. Only when the Indo-Pakistan war ended in 1971, Turtuk together with 5 other Balti villages was then included within the Indian line of border control. It remained off limits until a few years ago and keeping it well off the beaten track. Turtuk in every sense is a treat – culturally intact, untainted by tourism and simply delightful. DAY 05: NUBRA VALLEY TO PANGONG LAKE
After an early breakfast check out of the hotel and head to Pangong Tso via Shyok. A pristine place in Ladakh marked by subtle to high peaks around, crystal blue waters and the vast expansion catches the eye so much, it feels like magic. The foremost thing to see at Pangong Tso Lake is its beauty, you just can't get enough of it. The mountains, with their gradual slopes which meet the deep blue meditatives waters of the lake, is a sight that remains lodged in your memory for a long time. Brahminy ducks can also be seen standing on the banks of the lake, looking for a catch or two. This picturesque landscape location enhances its beauty with the arrival of migrating birds every year and attracts many travelers in search of adventure, photographs, bird-watching and chilling experience. DAY 06: PANGONG LAKE TO LEH
Wake up to the calls of the migratory birds this morning. Indulge in the walk beside the lake or go for a photography splurge before we check out and depart for Leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa. Hemis Monastry is the wealthiest monastery in India and famous for its rich collection of ancient remnants like the statue of Buddha made of copper, stupas made of gold and silver. Monastery also has sacred Thangkas, murals and various artifacts. Upon arrival at Leh, check into your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at a hotel in Leh (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 7: DEPART LEH
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your return flight, your Holiday ends here with beautiful memories, which you will cherish for a lifetime. (Breakfast)
